Game Day Pizza Bar is so much fun to create and eat, it will be the hit for your game day.
This recipe is fun for all ages because everyone likes to create their own pizza with selected toppings. Since I used store-bought refrigerated pizza crust, this recipe couldn’t be easier. You could use any toppings you like, but I chose to use three meats, a variety of various vegetables, a red sauce and cheese. Since I had a lot of toppings leftover, I used them up with some flatbread buns in place of the crust. Why not create a Game Day Pizza Bar and serve pizza creations alongside my Frozen Strawberry Lynchburg Lemonade? What a winning combination!

Game Day Pizza Bar:
If you have a lot of toppings leftover, you could use flatbread buns in place of the pizza crust as I have done here:
If you like this recipe, please share and like it!
- 13.8 ounces refrigerated pizza crust
- 8 ounces pizza sauce, jar
- 1 cup shredded cheese, any variety you like (I used Colby/Monterey Jack)
- variety of toppings such as meats and vegetables (I used cooked sausage, ham, pepperoni, onion, mini bell peppers, banana peppers, mushrooms and chives to make the football stitches on top)
Open the can of pizza crust but do not unroll the dough.
Cut the dough log into 9 equal slices.
Place the slices of dough on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
Press the dough down with your hands to form into the shape of a football, making sure to pinch together any holes that form around the layers.
Ladle on the pizza sauce.
I like to add 2 layers of cheese, one next to the sauce, and one on top.
Add your desired toppings.
On top of the final cheese layer, use the chives to carefully make the design of the stitching on the football (you may have to use tweezers).
Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until lightly starting to brown.
