I have been making my version of this Snowy Cranberry Relish Recipe for probably 20 years now, and it is a favorite around the holidays. And why wouldn’t it be with the bright red cranberries in cherry jello and the delicious cream cheese/marshmallow topping. What’s not to like? And it is so easy.

I do not like the traditional cranberry sauce, especially that canned stuff. If you agree, then you will be amazed at just how good this one is–nothing like that other stuff. Once you make Snowy Cranberry Relish Recipe, you will find yourself making it year after year as I have done.

  • 12 ounce package of cranberries
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 large box cherry jello
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 7 ounces marshmallow cream
  • 4 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  1. Cook the cranberries in the water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. The cranberries will pop which is good. You want most of the cranberries to pop. Remove from heat.

  2. Add the jello and sugar, and stir to dissolve. Add the celery, pineapple and pecans and mix well. Pour into a 9 x 9 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to make sure the jello sets.

  3. In a medium bowl, cream the cream cheese. Add in the marshmallow cream, and fold in the topping. Pile on top of the jello mixture and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Wonderful ! We’ve made it at least a dozen times over the holidays ! Now we are using different berries to make it ! Blackberry, raspberry and strawberry mixed or one to replace the cranberries ! Just use the amount of berries called for. It is great with all of them ! Love this recipe !

This looks delicious! Def going to try it out. I make a similar spiced Cran-Raspberry Jello, using rasp Jello, whole berry sauce, mandarin oranges, lemon juice, and spices (ground clove, allspice, cinnamon) topped with cool whip and chopped pecans. My family loves it and say it tastes like Christmas. 😊
