Campers Delight Graham Cracker Dessert

I wanted to create something that would mimic s'mores since that is a camping favorite. This recipe contains all the s'more ingredients--graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve graham crackers
  • 1 box brownie mix which probably requires eggs, oil and water (I used Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme)
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups mini-marshmallows
  • 12 ounces cream cheese frosting
  • 2/3 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Line the pan with the graham crackers to completely cover the bottom of the pan.

  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions using eggs, oil and water. Mix the pecans and marshmallows into the brownie mixture. Spread on top of the graham crackers and bake according to the package directions. Remove from the oven and cool for 30 minutes before frosting.

  3. Spread an even layer of the cream cheese frosting on the top of the cooled brownies. Spread swirls of the Nutella on top to achieve a light and dark pattern.

  4. It is better to serve this after several hours or the next day in order for the graham crackers to soften.
