A delicious sweet-tart easy cocktail recipe to serve for dessert or anytime.
To make the simple syrup, add 1/2 box of Lemonheads to a small saucepan. Add 1 cup of water and heat over medium heat, stirring often, until the candy is melted. Place in the refrigerator to cool for 10-15 minutes.
Cut 2 large slices of lemon out of the center of the lemons. Save for the garnish. Squeeze the remainder of the lemons into the cocktail shaker that has been filled with ice. Add the vodka, Triple Sec and cooled simple syrup.
Place 1/4 box of Lemonheads into a quart-size zippered bag. Place this bag in another bag and seal. Using a hammer or other heavy tool, crush the candy on concrete or other hard surface to achieve fine crumbs. Place the crumbs in a bowl large enough to accommodate the rim of the glasses.
Using the squeezed lemon halves, run one around the rim of the glasses. Dip the rim of the glasses in the crushed candy. Shake the cocktail well, adding more ice if needed and divide between the two glasses. Garnish with the sliced lemon.
